Following the introduction of new legislation as part of the EU Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (England & Wales) regulations 2007, it is now a legal requirement that commercial buildings being marketed for sale or lease require a Commercial Energy Performance Certificate (CEPC).
A CEPC is an assessment of the energy performance of a building. As a Landlord, owner or tenant of a commercial building being marketed for sale or lease you are required to provide a CEPC.
A CEPC inspection, and the issue of a CEPC, must be carried out by an accredited commercial energy assessor. For more information call our Building Surveying team at our Chester office.
