Seven keen hikers from North Wales Chartered Surveyors and Estate Agents, Denton Clark, conquered Snowdon on 17th May, 2008 to raise over £3,300 for Prostate Cancer Research.
The team were part of a 450-strong group of walkers, participating in one of the biggest sponsored walks up Snowdon ever to take place.
Denton Clark chose the Prostate Cancer Research charity after a colleague, Michael Scott who successfully completed the walk himself, was successfully treated for the cancer in 2007. Director Edward Clark said: “Many people don’t realise that prostate cancer is the UK’s second highest cause of death in men. We are proud to be supporting the Prostate Cancer Research Centre, which is carrying out ground breaking work to find a cure.”
The enthusiastic walkers were Will Lewis, Edward Clark Andy Kitchinson, Gill Stringer, Michael Scott, Richard Williams and Sue Salem. Before reaching the 3,500 ft Snowdon summit, Richard Williams completed an additional 31-mile hike across 14 peaks, known as the ‘Welsh 3000’, one of the great endurance walks of Snowdonia.
